MUSIC SUPERVISION
Carlson Entertainment will work with the director and film's producer to choose the musical direction of a given film while working within the financial confines of the music budget.
This will include the finding and contracting of score composers and music producers, the sourcing and licensing of third party pre-existing recordings, liaison with record labels, publishers, composers, artists and artist management.
The supervisor will oversee the entire music process in post production, from 'temp' score to final mix and will, in consultation with the film's producers, negotiate all fees and rights deals with music owners and will compile and license tracks for any soundtrack release. The supervisor will oversee recording and mix sessions.
Acting as an advocate for the production team in all discussion with content creators and owners, Carlson Entertainment's objective is always to empower the director and the producers to deliver their uncompromised creative vision within the confines of the designated music budget.
SOUNDTRACK ALBUM NEGOTIATION
Carlson Entertainment will, through its relationships with both major and independent record labels, look to identify, negotiate and creatively oversee the establishment of record deals to release soundtrack albums of film score, songs from the films and songs inspired by the film.
MUSIC CLEARANCE AND LICENSING
Carlson Entertainment will find copyright owners, negotiate fees and rights terms, gain approvals from artists, writers, management, publishers, and record labels and final contracting in consultation with production advocate.
